Who we are
8Baller ("we", "us") runs the website at 8ballergame.com and the online pool game on it. For any privacy question, or to use your rights below, email support@8ballergame.com.
What we collect today
Playing against the computer as a guest needs no account. At present the game stores data only in your own browser:
- Game settings, statistics and achievements (for example your chosen name, felt colour, volume and win record). These stay on your device in local storage and are not sent to us.
- Your cookie choice, so we do not ask you on every visit.
Our web server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type). We use them for security and to keep the service running.
What we will collect when accounts and multiplayer launch
When registration and online play are added, this policy will be updated before they go live. We expect to process: a username and email address, a password stored only as a salted hash, match history and results, chat messages and reports, and security logs used to detect cheating and abuse. We will tell you clearly at sign-up what is needed and what is optional.

Advertising
8Baller is free and is supported by advertising. No advertising provider is loaded until you choose "Accept all" or switch Advertising on in . If you decline, you will see no third-party ads and nothing is sent to an ad network. You can change your mind at any time. See the cookie policy.
Sharing your data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run 8Baller (such as hosting and, if you consent, advertising partners), and where the law requires. We will list processors here before launch.
How long we keep it
Server logs are kept for a short, fixed period for security. Data in your browser stays until you clear it. Account data (when accounts exist) is kept while your account is open and deleted when you ask us to delete it, subject to legal duties.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, a portable copy, and you may object to processing or withdraw consent at any time. Self-service export and account deletion will be built into the account area; until then, email us and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
8Baller is intended for people aged 13 and over. We will add age safeguards before any public chat is switched on. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We use HTTPS, restrict access to servers, and design the multiplayer system so the server, not your browser, decides the result of every match.
